A unified vision for the software is important (IMO). Note that this is not a vote against parameterizing functionality and providing great flexibility. That's good implementation. It's more of a vote _for_ picking good defaults, and for crafting a coherent definition of what fluxbox is "out of the box". I think software builders (myself included) sometimes avoid design decisions by creating an option, thereby making it the user's problem to decide.
