    Dear all,

I would like to ask you some technical information.

Is it possible to use the encoding method MPEG1 or MPEG2 instead of MP3 with your product FLUID?

I have hardware able to decode MPEG1 or MPEG2 but not MP3.

My aim is: To broadcast a live audio stream via satellite at say 192 Kbs MPEG1
or MPEG2 encoded, the stream must be IP multicast (UDP).

As mentioned before my receiving hardware has built-in MPEG1 and MPEG2 encoder.
Thus going the MP3 route will mean extra hardware (PC + Audio card at the
    receiver site)?

Do you know if this has been done before or where can I get informations how to
do it with respect to Linux (2.2.14).

Thanks in advance for your help.

    Best Regards,

    .MP3 files are most always MPEG1. the 3 refers to Layer3. I
suspect though, that you're hardware is capable of decoding
Layer1 and Layer2. Double check that. If it can read MPEG1
    Layer3, you're all set.
