Fluid Streaming Server / News: Recent posts

The new version of the Fluid Streaming Server and API has been released. It includes major improvements over the soon four year old previous release. Among the new features are support for mp3/mp3pro through on-demand streaming or broadcasting (playlist, relay or live), user authenticated streams and completely reworked and modernized architecture in the API.

I have just created a new module in the cvs named "Fluid Final" with a working copy of the soon to be released code. There is support for both broadcast and on demand streaming, but some features have yet to be added. Now is the time to join as a developer and help with the finishing touches!

The final and greatly improved version of Fluid will be released in a few weeks time. The API is redesigned for better ease of use with a much more robust underlying architecture. Directly after the release I will add anyone interested in writing support for other formats to the project. Please mail me for more information!

Hello, I just dropped by to tell you that I am still alive and hoping to make Fluid one of the first MPEG-4 streamers available.

As I have little to no time to supervise, let alone code, in this project I am looking for someone who could help me manage the project.

I have put up my initial release and source code. Maybe not that well commented, but hopefully the code itself should be quite readable. Please feel free to comment or post questions if there is anything you would like to know.
