    Hi, First of al I'd like to say that I am very impressed with florence and plan on using it from now on.

    I use a tablet PC and recently figured out how to use the softkeys in linux.

    My question is: Is there a way for me to assign the show/hide function to one of these buttons? (Button17-19)

    THANK YOU!!!

    Hello,

    You can write a script to show and hide the keyboard.
    See the support request #3112696.

    Create a script with this content:

    1
    2
    3
    4
    5
    6
    7
    8
    #!/bin/bash
    key_value=$(gconftool --get /apps/florence/behaviour/auto_hide)
    echo $key_value | grep "false"
    if [[ $? -eq 0 ]] ; then
    gconftool --type Boolean --set /apps/florence/behaviour/auto_hide true
    else
    gconftool --type Boolean --set /apps/florence/behaviour/auto_hide false
    fi

    You can then assign a key with gnome-keybinding-properties. Create a new binding to your script.

    I hope this helps…
