A second theme for Flip, tentatively titled "Flapjack," has been partially coded and is in beta. Three themes, the default Flip theme, Flapjack, and a third theme, "Balloon,' will be in the default install of Flip 2.

With a slew of improvements and new features, Flip 1.1 is without question the easiest weblog in the world. The "change permissions and go" foundation has been preserved - Flip can be set up in about 2 minutes. Now fully syndicatable, Flip is now able to compete in use with some of the more powerful, database weblogs that are tough to setup and maintain and use extra bandwidth and processor power. Flip is actively developed and a Flip 2 release is still planned for later this year.
