I know that :-) The original comment was about relative disk space consumption though, and the overlay strategy needs to store all photo textures in addition to what we already store, so it is even more expensive to do it that way. I have also commented on the memory requirements for photo texturing vs. procedural texturing in the Wiki, since that hasn't come up so far. I guess I just wasn't aware that I need to write a comprehensive essay covering all aspects of photo scenery when making a single side comment on the relative disk space footprint :-) * Thorsten |
