[Flightgear-users] Problems with fix.dat

Hello All (and Happy New Year);

I have encountered a slight problem with fix.dat, namely multiple instances of 
entries in the range of "CATnn"...

For instance CAT05 is near Sicily, as well as off the coast of El Salvador...

Since I discovered this, I have found several other duplicates, for instance 
CALDO, and CALIF. I have not done an extensive search, however; there are no 
doubt many others..

I am curious (a) how this came to be, and (b) what I can do to rectify it...
