General query... Do developers/coders review the simulation conference proceedings that are available - i.e. the annual AIAA Modeling and Simulation Technologies Conference or the annual Flight and Ground Vehicle Simulation Conference? They usually have exellent presentations/articles from the best military and commercial simulation projects... for example, "Simulated Landings in Turbulance - Motion, Predictive Modeling and Psychometric Aspects", or "Simulation of Aircraft Landing Gears with Nonlinear Dynamic Finite Element Code". All of the topics in FGFS are common to the most expensive military sims, and the proceedings detail what worked for their projects, why and how. Plus, some of the topics are just plain interesting, such as X-38 Spacecraft Parafoil simulation and testing (!) Bruce |
