What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. start with ATC2 and set time as "noon" (although other aircraft also
show)
2. Intermittently in sim (but mainly at startup) the moon will dive on
horizon and sun will also
3. Everything goes dark or light.
Presenting the dialog via
menu >> Enviroment >> Time settings
shows the UTC time and local variable are very rapid.
Observed is that about one minute in real time is roughly one hour in sim.
It appears that the "clock" time is not real for some reason. the minutes
seems to run as very fast seconds (maybe even frame rate)
However it does have advantages, in that one can sit on a runway and watch
celestial.
Timewarp >> "reset" does seem to stop the effect, but sometimes it kicks
off again with no user intervention.

Never had this behaviour. Are you sure it was not a (accidental) user setting?

Indeed, I have not noticed this recently (was a regular occurence), so I'm going to
assume its been fixed. If I see it again I'll reopen the issue.
