I can confirm that it does indeed make the error go away, but is it the right fix? Doesn't it make the FDM less realistic? I have no idea :P

Maybe a YASim guru can help?

Stall AoA of 30 degrees looks more reasonable than 12 degrees to me. I would suggest the FDM config is amended pending any better info.

As the YASim fix is probably the cause of the new behaviour, I would rather look at the approach/glide settings.

The "fix" isn't too great - the ASK13 is almost unflyable - well, rather "unlandable" now. Before the YASim fix the approach glide-angle was used in places where the cruise glide-angle is used now. So, a better fix is to restore the aoa to 30 - but set the cruise glide-angle to 23 instead of 2 (so it's the same as the approach glide-angle). ASK13 flies (lands) much better then. Can s.o. contact the author?

Tried to do so, but the gmail address that he used on the mailinglist gives a "delivery failure"...

I agree that I should have done so before, it just looked like a low-impact fix to me at the time. I'm rather suprised that you call the ASK13 unflyable now, on my sytem it flies pretty well. It's even weirder that Vivian reported that the ASK13 still doesn't load with the 30-degree-"fix" on his system.

Setting "hstab stall aoa" back to 12 and "cruise glide-angle" to 23 seems to work as well. I don't notice any difference between this and the commited "fix" though, apart from a small change in elevator effectiveness. But both version are flyable (and landable) here...

    Did YASim update recently? :S
