build, Compositor enabled command option: --compositor=Compositor/als
A new kind of ALS's to contend with and a quick inspection suggests all other flightgear commands commence with lower case. Could we possibly reduce the confusion and make it
--compositor=compositor/high-def-pipeline
I suppose, a separate ticket ?
My pictures didn't come out.

Compositor High Def Pipeline

Are you sure the "Compositor High Def Pipeline" picture is using the ALS pipeline? The sky and shaders don't look like they are from ALS.
The --compositor command specifies a directory on FGData, which are all camelcase.
Except gui. It's still a command and there's not a single upper case character in the entire command set shown in fgfs --help --verbose. The command should be consistent with that.
That's like saying we need to rename every aircraft to use lower case characters because "--aircraft=CitationX" is a command...
Sure OK fine. The option caused enough confusion that it was relayed to me with incorrect case, was simply trying to save someone else the same trouble ! Best.
Assuming that this is no longer an issue after 3 years of no further reports.
Well, it's still an issue, I just verified on today's 'next' build. In View-Rendering-Advanced Graphics Options the yellow Runway-Entrance markers show if 'low Specifications button is active, if Atmospheroc Light Scattering is selected, the marker lines all but disappear, just a faint white hatching at runway edge:

Right, thanks for the update!
Can you try what happens if, with ALS enabled, you alter the "Terrain Quality" level in the advanced graphics options? I seem to be able to replicate some z-fighting of the ground markings (I think that's what you're seeing), but only when the Terrain Quality is set to Low. It works fine at higher quality levels, because the shaders displace the lines slightly above ground level if I'm not mistaken.
It certainly changes the effect if terrain quality is altered, it looks as if the marker lines are displayed doubled, with a moire effect, white lines traversing laterally as the plane moves.
