What /exactly/ did you do?
After takeoff in the B1900D YASim, flaps and gear up, attempt to maintain 1500 - 2000 fpm vertical speed and approx 160KIAS
How did you expect FlightGear to respond?
Similiar to all other aircraft I have flown (including B1900D JSBSim) where only a reasonable amount of forward yoke is required to maintain desired climb rate and pitch up

What did you see instead?

Yoke requires almost 75% forward to maintain climb rate of 1500-2000fpm (around 8 degrees pitch up) If you put the yoke back to neautral observe that it sets to about 30+ degrees pitch which does not seem remotely realistic or reasonable.

Compare this to the JSBSim B1900D where the yoke infact needs to be around 5-10% back to achieve the desired 1500-2000fpm vertical speed

Screen shots attached show Yasim vs JSBSim B1900D with a similar climb rate, vertical speed and KIA but with widly different yoke positions to maintain it (ciricled in red on the HUD)

Apologies if I have not explained this well. Would recommend trying to recreate to appreciate the problem (especially with a joystick)

Was not sure where else to raise this as a problem as devloper named on FG is Syd Adams who does not appear to be around anymore.

What version are you using?
2018.2.2
What operating system?
Mac OS High Sierra 10.13.6

I think the Yasim FDM for the B1900 is experimental, or certainly not really tested. And indeed Syd is kind of retired from FlightGear developmemt. We normally don't remove / hide such experimental parts in the simulator, since someone may want to improve or fix the support one day.
