Really a feature request; forum recommended putting it here. Ver 2016.1.1 under win 7 ultimate with gtx 275. Using default Cessna 172p, was trying to play a tutorial, or to start engine, in both cases failed because I didn't realize sim was still on Pause. Recommend you make the Paused indicator continue to show rather than go out, especially as some actions still work (parking brake for example) while others don't (fuel level, engine start, etc.). TY.

Please do not implement this, people often pause to get time to select the proper angle for a nice screenshot, it would not be so nice with a big "Paused" in the middle.

I think it can be implemented in such a way to satisfy both needs (having the indicator for sim / usability reasons & making it dissapear for screenshots).

PROPOSED SOLUTION #1: Make it configurable, so the Pause Indicator will appear or not depending on user settings.

PROPOSED SOLUTION #2: Make it always appear and persist, as urodoc / forum users ask for, BUT don't make it visible when taking screenshots or using the Capture Screen option in-sim.

This behavior could be extended to other overlay / GUI elements, such as menu bar, floating dialog windows and overlays, but in any case there'd be situations when the User would like to have those visible for a screenshot (reporting a bug in GUI, eg.) and some other cases in which you'd not want those (taking a nice screenshot).

So both cases are worth analysis and discussion.
