Browsing a flickrfs mount under Nautilus doesn't work
all that well... Nautilus wants to make thumbnails,
etc. which tends to gum up flickrfs or at least take
forever to complete.

There's a project similar to flickrfs called Gnickr,
also written in Python, which works much better under
Nautilus: http://gnickr.sourceforge.net. It replaces
Nautilus' default thumbnailing to take advantage of
lower-res versions of photos from Flickr, etc. so the
data transferred is much smaller.

However, Gnickr isn't as functional as flickrfs in
nearly all other aspects.

I'd like to see the current flickrfs code adapted to
also work as a Nautilus filesystem plugin. (Barring
that, it'd be nice to see the flickrfs authors to
collaborate with the Gnickr authors so they can provide
a better plugin with feature parity.)

Further enhancement if that's doable: It'd be great if
all the file metadata that's editable through flickrs
was available in the properties panel of the file in
Nautilus!
