The web://cp code base has problems though, we already discussed using it for the base for flexcp and it was voted not to. So if we throw out the flexcp code which is newer and better than the webcp code we would actually be taking a step back. We would still have to rewrite the portions dealing with multi-server, modules, and virtual users. Now admittedly webcp is further along than flexcp, but that is because it is simpler in it's current stat. webcp cannot easily be taken any further without almost a complete rewrite anyway. flexcp was started from the beginning to be flexible, and as a result of that it is more complicated to program it. What we really need is for someone to take the 20 hours or so that is needed, and complete the work I started on the socket code between the front end and backend. Make it rock solid so we can work on other things which will share more common code with the webcp code base. Maybe I might take another shot at it but I have to say I've already put lots of time coding and trouble shooting into that section so I don't feel much incentive at this point.
