The main.mxml is created as main.mxml.mxml
Using flexbean1.0 Beta - org-netbeans-module-flexbean-1.0-Beta-20081220.nbm

    This happens when mxml is added as an file extension under 'File Associations' within netbeans. After removing the file association, the symptom disappear.

    This is a false alarm.

    When I create a new Flex application project , then Main.mxml is created into Main.mxml file
