&lt;em&gt;System Exclusive&lt;/em&gt; is a MIDI &lt;em&gt;System Common&lt;/em&gt; message protocol &lt;br /&gt;
designed to allow equipment manufacturers to send device specific data, &lt;br /&gt;
not covered by the standard MIDI protocol, over the MIDI link. &lt;/p&gt;
