The JIT version runs on Windows and Linux. An interpreter is also
available that runs on PPC, and a Sparc version is nearly ready
as well. The drawback to going this route is that not many
development tools are available on Linux yet, but I believe that
will change in the near future. In particular, I think it is only
a matter of time before gcc will be able to output CIL. Too bad
it's not ready now, because managed C++ would make this project
very easy.
