If the wordpress files are in /news and flash files are in
/Flash-Files Then you need to make the loffowing change:

    1. Open flashBlog_AS2.fla
    2. Open the actions of the second frame.
    3. Find this line of code: _global.homeURL =
    “http://localhost/wp2/”
    4. Change it to reflect the path of your WP installation i.e:
    http://your_url.com/news

Then publish the Flash file and run the HTML to launch the
    Flash swf from /Flash-Files folder.

    Hope this solves your problem.

    Sorry for late reply.

What you need to do after the inatallation is access the
Flash page directly and not the wordpress page.

The Flash file will find the wordpress location (which I
    mentioned how to edit).

If there is still confusion, do let me know.

it still doesn't work for me.

    Here's a test page i put up:
    http://centerstorm.net/babdon/blog/test.htm

It just gets stuck on the loading.

word press is installed in the /blog/ folder. i uploaded the
flash files into that same /blog/ folder.

    Updated the fla to have:
    _global.homeURL = "http://www.centerstorm.net/babdon/blog/";

    What am i missing?

Yes, I can also see the first view loading properly.

The reason why its not doing anything after that is because
you are using WP 2.0 and we are still upgradingthe code to
    be compatible with WP 2.0

When this was written, it was WP 1.5
So If you have WP1.5 everything willwork just fine.

The upgrade is in progress which will also take care of the
    other known and unknown bugs.

Hope you will hang on while we get this thing stabilised :)

    Thanks again for trying it.

Cool. Do you have any estimate of when you might have the
    new code available?

    thanks

I might have a quick draft ready this weekend.

That should work with WP 2.0

    Hi,
I would like to know wether you also
    1. re-installed the xml_output.php in the plugins folder and
    re-activated it.
    2. Re-installed the 'flashTheme' files in the Themes folder.

I can see that the theme file is not correct. If I access
    this URL:
    http://centerstorm.net/babdon/blog/?p=1

I get a error in line 15. This line is from the old flashTheme.

So maybe you have installed the new Theme but not activated it.

Let me know if you still have problem and I will help you out :)

okay, i deleted the flashtheme folder this time instead of
just overwriting it. same with the xml file. However, now i
get an error that the stylesheet is missing. I check your
install doc and the zip file and you don't have a style.css
in the theme folder. Maybe thats the problem?

When i did an overwrite, it kept the old style.css in there.

    hi,
    I am sorry about that.

I missed adding the stylesheet earlier.

I uploaded a new release a while ago with the stylesheet.

You can also start using the forum here:
    http://www.ssdesigninteractive.com/flashBlog_forum

I have made a post about the stylesheet here:
    http://www.ssdesigninteractive.com/flashBlog_forum/viewtopic.php?t=2

Hope that should solve your problem.

Okay, i'll sign up at that forum.

Can you please check my site again though, because it still
isn't working for me. I deleted the xml and flashtheme and
installed the new version, activited it and selected it as
my theme and still no luck.

    Thanks a bunch, that worked.

My next step is updating the GUI slightly. I'll post any
questions and ideas at your forum.

    Good stuff.

    Hi,
After successful installation, you will need to visit your Flash file and not wordpress homepage.

Do the following check to make sure your installation is correct.

When you visit your wordpress home page, and you get a blank page, look at the source of that page, it should actually show you a XML file.
If you see that, then you can be sure you have installed it correctly.

Now to view the blog, you need to point your browser to the FLASH file, which you would have place somewhere on your server as instructed in the readme file.

Can you tell me where you placed your Flash files and where is your wordpress located?

How can i edit the second frame?
when i turn on the plugin and the wordpress theme, i can see "wordpress database error bla bla bla..."

    thanks!
