Sony Vegas (versions 9 and 10, and possibly newer) create WAV files for audio. These WAV files almost invariably result in "got partial sample" errors when converting to FLAC, though the FLAC works fine and apparently contains 100% of the original file.
There doesn't seem to be a way to preserve the Modified time stamp on these FLACs without an extensive workaround. It seems the encode fails and the Modified stamp is never copied. It also fails to delete the original file, and while I see the good reason for that, I also wish it would.
I can't find a way to convince FLAC to ignore the error, or fill in the missing end of the file with 0s, or whatever. I just want to tame these dozens of gigs of project wav files which I will likely never need again!
A small sample is attached.
