FitNesse should have the ability to bind to a specific
IP address when starting up instead of binding to all
available IP addresses on a host.
The attached patch adds a "-h host" command-line
argument to the Java version of FitNesse to specify a
host or IP address to bind to when starting up. The
changes should be compatible with Java 1.1 or newer.
(I'm not sure what minimum JDK version FitNesse supports.)
This lets you start up FitNesse on the same port across
various localhost IP addresses (127.0.0.2, 127.0.0.3,
etc.) on the same PC.
I've tested the patch with FitNesse-20050405, and it
works. The patch also applies cleanly (with just a few
offsets) to the FitNesse-20060312 daily source dump.
