Hi, some users told us that they wanted to test Fisterra Distribution as normal users, i.e, they wanted to compile and test it in their home directories. It was possible before but the new log system, issues all its output to syslog. This file is often readable only by system administrators, so a normal user, could not examine it. In order to allow normal users server debugging, we added a boolean option in the server_config.xml file called debug_mode, that if enabled ("true" is enabled, "false" is disabled), sends all server output to a file in the user's home directory. This parameter is also configurable in the package installation process. The installation now offers the possibility of selecting the desired verbosity of the log system for the server. Enjoy Fisterra, Bye. |
