After a brief hiatus, http://www.firstsay.com is back online. Development of First Say stalled while I focused on other work. But I found some time to bring the instance at www.firstsay.com back on new servers - development will continue in the context of the memeio (http://www.memeio.com) project.

Development of First Say faltered because I had to spend time on my other projects. I expect to continue development of First Say in the context of my new project (http://www.memeio.com) and to get a release out at some point. I will not now be porting First Say to MSQL - but am receptive if someone wants to help out.

The entire CVS repository of FIRST SAY is now in place.

The current version is Alpha 4.14, a formal release will be made when I have added the licensing information to the files and completed some install documentations.

Alpha 5 will add the last fuctionality for this round - allowing users to share collections. This will bing us close to a Beta release.

FIRSTSAY.COM will close down briefly while I move hosts in a couple of weeks. This will also give me the drive to write installation docs. In the meantime, if you want to install a FIRSTSAY server I will be happy to assist installs.

FIRST SAY is a syndicated content aggregator that uses XML/RSS syndication feeds. FIRST SAY is web accessible, built upon the open source platforms of the POSTGRES database, Apache Web Server and PHP scripting. The MySQL database will also be supported by the project.
