I recommend that we either move to wx direct, or move the wax package 
*into* Firedrop and maintain it there (rather than as a separate project).

The second option is easier - and removes our dependency on Wax as an 
external project. As part of Firedrop we only need to maintain wax 
enough to keep Firedrop running...
