Since library building with FPC x64 seems to be bugfree now, there is a new attempt to encapsulate FireBlade in a library.
This means that programmers of other languages will soon be able to use FireBlade too! =)
The License is also GOING TO BE changed to MPL to ensure that users rights on their own projects won't be harmed by the current license. (It is not sure whether LGPL may be viral in some cases).... read more
This release fixes a bug within memory preallocation which caused access violations.
It is highly recommended to update to this release!
Todays release fixed syntax errors that occured with the Borland Delphi compiler. Now everything should work out of the box with both FPC and Delphi compiler.
I was also demanded to use LGPL instead of GPL to leave the possibility to use other licenses for the main project. It is compatible with the GPL, all additional terms can be read in the COPYING.LESSER file within the archive.

I'm proud to tell you that the last Release (R2 2008.09.06) recently won the "Best Project Of The Year" award on www.delphigl.com. FireBlade was elected out of two other projects which, like FireBlade, qualified themselves by winning a quaterly based Best Project award =)
This release mainly focuses on bugfixes and physics changes. The physics calculation is now choosable (currently between traditional and realistic).
Some bugfixes and changes/performance improvements come with the new version of this release.
The new release comes beside bugfixes with an enhanced smear effect and more possibilities to manipulate particles.
Some more syntax errors fixed which weren't detected by FPC 2.0.4.

With the version 2006.08.09, some methods in FireBlade and it's scriptsystem have been changed. You will find more specific information to this in tutorial 3 and 4.
