I downloaded ODBC driver 1.02 I couldn't find OdbcJdbc v2-0-Beta Ver 02.00.00.0122 as you suggested. There was a zip download Window libraries similar to that number. However, when I clicked on it I got garble, not a zip download. I tried it on several browsers and got the same garble. So back to square one. I was able to change my password via the DOS commands given in the Firebird Quick Start Guide, so sysdba is recognized as the user name. The message "The user ID and password are not defined, contact your DBA to set up a firebird login" still appears when I try to test my connection. Problem still not resolved.
