thanks a lot Carlos!  That is going to be a great help.

A couple questions...

If I am writing for connection to an embedded server, the properties:
Server/DataSource, Port and Packet Size are ot applicable.  Right?  If I am not
on the right track, let me know which properties apply tot he embedded server.

Also, the installer for the .Net 1.1 Provider 1.6 Alpha won't install.  It says
something about the gacutil.exe and the MSVCR70.dll.  I think other persons in
this list has this problem.  So, I suppose that I will have to build the .Net
Provider from the sources myself, right?
