Alexey, > Please take another look on http://135.181.43.123 > > dqdev/dqdev > > There were some improvements in terms on navigation, etc. > > Please send feedback and more ideas! The menu bar looks too high (just wastes space), I'd suggest making it a bit shorter (the same height as the search bar and the Firebird title, for example). I'd prefer a thin grey line as a vertical separator between "Firebird News" and "Community News" columns on the main page. This may be not very modern in the web design nowadays, but seeing news items close to each other but differently aligned is not really pleasant to my eyes. Side menu has weird markers at the right side looking like "expand me down" which obviously does not work this way. Side menu has moved to the right side, but has arrow icons that also point to the right. Looks somewhat like "go away" ;-) but this could be just me. And I'd prefer a bit more space between that arrow and the chapter name. The "popular" section placed under the side menu has very small chanced to be noticed. Do we really need it on the every page? The same for banners that are even deeper down. It's also quite weird that banners are available on some pages but missing on another ones (/en/release-notes/ vs /en/server-packages/). On the main page the "Popular" title is not aligned with "Firebird News" and "Community News", that looks sloppy. Maybe items inside the Popular section should be more compact in height. Idea: the scrolling line "Releases" at the top could forward (if clicked at the "Releases" text) to /en/server-packages/. Do we really expect the site being translated to other languages than English (and maintained!)? I doubt that, so the language selector looks meaningless. Dmitry |
