Editing all the CVS/Root files? That seems like a technique the
Cedarqvist manual overlooked.

Try doing a fresh CVS checkout. Then, from MSVC, open the workspace in
the root (ie OdbcJdbc) directory. After that everything should be fairly
straightforward. The project dependancies are set up so that you just 
build OdbcJdbcSetup.
