Checked. No dangling connections in the transaction pool after backup restore. Then when the ~connection shutdown~ error state is reached only 3.0 connections are in the pool. If i wasn't clear I can't create any connection in that state. Not even create a new Database and connect to that. Any connection will throw a ~connection shutdown~ Exception after that state is reached. It is not dependent to a certain database. So there shouldn't be any 2.5 connections to that database still hanging around. The backup restore I do is inplace. I have replaced the fdb database in its original location (2.5 before a 3.0 version afterwards). I assume if I had 2.5er connections still in the pool that won't be allowed since there would be open handles to the database and I couldn't replace the file then? I will check if clearing the pool when I'm running into the ~ connection shutdown~ error state helps.
