[Firebird-website] Subscribing for the newsletter

I just realized that I am currently not subscribed to the newsletter, so 
I tried to subscribe on the website (earlier today and just now). I 
never received a confirmation e-mail.

Is the subscription process broken, or do I have an overactive spam 
filter (although AFAIK, my mail hoster will only annotate spam with [SPAM])?
