   You are right, of course. And AFAIR, it IS fixed in 3.0. But the ticket is still valid: 
installer (instclient util) put the client library to system dir, but no msg file anywhere 
nearby.

PS: No, keeping client library in installation dir only and add it to the system PATH is 
not an option. Because of 64/32 bits issues.
