[Firebird-odbc-devel] Remote connection to the database with ODBC driver fails

Hi, 

I can connect to the database with an ODBC connection on the server
using a remote connection string: server_name:Database_alias. There is a
problem connecting to the database from a remote machine using the same
connection string and credentials. The Test connection button always
fails.

>From the remote machine a Delphi application can connect to the database
using the same connection string and credentials (via the GDS32.dll).

OS = Windows Server 2003 R2 standard edition Service Pack 2
Hardware = Intel Xeon (Virtual Machine)

Any suggestions about possible cause?
