I think, background and color is not the main problem etc.
Current bg-color (light-green), bg-color in your link etc - 
all are good for most of peoples. I think, such "trifles"
may be voted and forgotten.

Very pleasant for me! :) There are some wrong moments from
my POV, but it is proposal and good step to begin. Some more
such steps - and the work will move on. :)
