I'm developing in Perl, so I can't really do what you suggest, I suspect the
code just needs recompiling for a 64-bit architecture, but I'm afraid I
wouldn't know where to start.  If there are some instructions somewhere, I'd
be happy to have a go, but I'm afraid I'm not qualified to identify any
issues.

Any suggestions welcome.
