I can't say I've ever really used Vista seriously so my comments my not be 
of much help, but...

Can you see the 32-bit driver in the 32-bit ODBC admin app in the 32-bit 
control panel?

I wonder how the gds32.dll v.6.0.1.0 got into the system32 folder? Did you 
copy it there? From the version string it is probably from InterBase 6.0, 
or perhaps an early version of Firebird 1.0. It is certainly a 32-bit 
library.
