Hello! From Paul Reeves: > Secondly, install location. I have to ask this question. Where does it get > us (as Firebird users) if we install straight into /usr? I see no problems with bin, lib and include directories. readme(s), help and examples may go to /usr/share/doc/firebird. misc appears unneeded for such kind of installation. firebird.log may safely go to default log directory, /var/log. but anyway we need private directory for UDF, intl, lock-files, firebird.msg and security.fdb.
