No. What was to be 2.0 was later decide to be called 1.5, to display "a step
in the right direction" but not yet warranting a major version number
increment. That is, Firebird 1.5 is the code built from the FB2 code base,
and is the path to 2.0.

What might contribute to confusion is that the name of the CVS module for
the "new" code is "firebird2", and that's one reason the codebase is
commonly known as FB2 among the developers.

I believe development of 1.0 has all but stopped. Bugfixes and some such are
often back-ported from 1.5 to 1.0, but that's about it. You should also
consider that 1.5 is still alpha.
