[Firebird-devel] 1.5 v. 2.0 Question

I understand a fairly big rewrite was done to move to C++ in 1.5 from C in
1.0.  However, work on 2.0 seems to be proceeding in parallel.  Will the 1.5
code base be used in 2.0? or is all the 2.0 code kept in sync manually with
the 1.5 changes?

I am also trying to decide if I should move my customers from 1.0 to 1.5, or
wait for 2.0.  Is the time between the final release of 1.5 and the final
release of 2.0 likely to be more than six months?
