[Firebird-test] Connection problem

When I connect to a FirebirdSS 1.x server running on Red Hat 7.2 my WinXP
app works well. The same FirebirdSS 1.x server but on Red Hat 9 - when I
start the same application, it throws a fatal exception and dies!

What's happening? Any hint?
