I think somehting else (perhaps dejagnu) will also have something to 
offer, and finally:

monitoring cpu that sort of thing.

Given we have limited resources I don't think it wise to embark on 
writing a new test tool - but some mods to the existing TCS one to make 
it run test cases from flat files would be useful.


BTW: I've done a few limit tests as a trial with dejagnu, I'll post them 
on the ftp site in a bit, I also want to run them on my NT system 
(vmware of course) to make sure they run, just so I dont upset the PC 
crowd :-).
