John, Until a new testing strategy has been completely thoughtout and implemented, TCS will still be required. Not that I doubt Mark's investigations but we need to carefully consider all our testing needs -- engine, client, GPRE, ODBC, JDBC, Java client... quick engine/build tests, long term abuse tests... Accordingly, TCS is still our horse -- we have to ride it. So I'd recommend that you make the necessary changes. I'd really, though, like to see TCS modified to eliminate the use of the database to store the scripts and results. After I've finished my work (it seems to be never ending) on the bug tracker update, I'll turn my own attention to working with you all on a testing implementation plan. Sean |
