Your proposal doesn't fix it really ... at the first look it seems so, but=
:
if you comment out the line "var->sqllen =3D length;" in sqlda.cpp, you
get awful memory-faults ! (not always, but sometimes) .
I'm just debugging it, to find out where to cut the last blank of the
stings ....
