Hi,

I wonder if there exists an Borland BDP driver for Firebird? If it 
doesn't exist then are there any plans for creating one?

Is there also any raw timeframe one could expect a BDP-driver? a half 
year, a year ....

No, in first place it's going to be developed by Abel Eduardo Pereira, i 
will help too, it will depend in the time he has for doing it and the 
documentation on how to do it that is very poor ;)

Like Carlos has wrote, there are plans for making Firebird available through
BDP; I estimate that there will be something working by the end of this
summer :-|

Hi Abel,

thanks for the answer, Firebird would be my first choice for a embedded 
database, but I must access it via BDP (->Borland Eco). Currently I am 
storing in XML for prototyping. I hope I can wait for the BDP driver.
