I would like to know, how optimize "Select".

Example, if I have 10000 lines, "Select *" in Datagrid uses 30 second. 

Is there a way faster to do it?

Alan McDonald and Alessandro Petrelli has give yes a ( or the ;)  ) 
solution, as an addition if you are using version 1.0 of the provider 
you can try it with the 1.5 version that has some performance improvements.
