Coming from mysql and trying to get a hand on Firebird I found a 'weird'
thing
My connection string is like this:

and my question is can't "Database=f:\\fire\\data\\fire.fdb;" be replaced
with an alias? Like "Database=fire;" instead of having to write the
physical path? Or this is the way it always should be and I have just a bad
habit? :)

I've just downloaded your sources using CVS, and run my test again.

Hi again, I've been checking this thing again. Same code, same database, the exception raises only when "/checked" (check for arithmetic overflow) compiler flag is active.
