Hi, I'm using the standard data grid with the FbReader and I get an error when I try to enable paging on the grids. Is this something that is going to be looked at? Mike |

Hello: 1. I have made today one fix to the FbDataReader class for a better handling of blob SUB_TYPE and added a new NUNit Text Fixture for blob fields. 2. I'm making some changes to the nant build file to test the msi task, i need to check some things but i'm thinking on use this for installation build instead of the Ghost installer (if msi nant task works ok), opinions are wellcome ?? 3. Another question is wich version of the .net framework will be used for future installations, as there are people working with both 1.0 and 1.1, opinions are wellcome ?? 4. Finally i cotinue to work in the ASP.NET sample app that can be found in the CVS at: NETPRovider/SampleApplication/ASP.NET/BugTracker -- Best regards Carlos Guzmán Álvarez Vigo-Spain |

Thanks a lot Carlos, Thanks for your help with this, much appreciated. And about the code formatting - I'm new to .NET so any advice is welcome :) <SNIP> Don't worry :), try: FbCommand myCommand = new FbCommand("SELECT * FROM GET_ALLOTMENTS_FORMATTED(?,?,?)", myConnection, myTxn); And a little advice :), ParameterDirection.Input is the default direction for new parameters, you can create input parameters as: <SNIP> |

Don't worry :), try: FbCommand myCommand = new FbCommand("SELECT * FROM GET_ALLOTMENTS_FORMATTED(?,?,?)", myConnection, myTxn); Or if you are using Firebird .NET Provider 1.5: FbCommand myCommand = new FbCommand("GET_ALLOTMENTS_FORMATTED", myConnection, myTxn); And a little advice :), ParameterDirection.Input is the default direction for new parameters, you can create input parameters as: myCommand.Parameters.Add("@ROOM_ID", FbType.Integer, "ROOM_ID").Value = 1; myCommand.Parameters.Add("@DATE_FROM", FbType.Date, "DATE_FROM").Value = "1/1/2000"; myCommand.Parameters.Add("@DATE_TO", FbType.Date, "DATE_TO").Value = "1/1/2008"; that i think it's more easy and readable but it's your choice :) -- Best regards Carlos Guzmán Álvarez Vigo-Spain |

Hello I have a stored procedure that returns a recordset. Works fine when I call it from IBExpert, but when I call it from .NET I am only getting one row returned. I am not sure I am using the correct syntax to call a stored proc that returns a recordset. I'm displaying it in a grid, and my test code is below. I'd appreciate it if someone could point me in the right direction here.. I'm new to .NET and only have a bit of firebird experience. Regards Mike ---- FbConnection myConnection = new FbConnection(connectionString); myConnection.Open(); FbTransaction myTxn = myConnection.BeginTransaction(); FbCommand myCommand = new FbCommand("EXECUTE PROCEDURE GET_ALLOTMENTS_FORMATTED(?,?,?)", myConnection, myTxn); myCommand.CommandType = CommandType.StoredProcedure; myCommand.Parameters.Add("@ROOM_ID", FbType.Integer, "ROOM_ID").Direction = ParameterDirection.Input; myCommand.Parameters.Add("@DATE_FROM", FbType.Date, "DATE_FROM").Direction = ParameterDirection.Input; myCommand.Parameters.Add("@DATE_TO", FbType.Date, "DATE_TO").Direction = ParameterDirection.Input; myCommand.Parameters[0].Value = 1; myCommand.Parameters[1].Value = "1/1/2000"; myCommand.Parameters[2].Value = "1/1/2008"; FbDataReader myReader; myReader = myCommand.ExecuteReader(CommandBehavior.CloseConnection); DataGrid1.DataSource = myReader; DataGrid1.DataBind(); myReader.Dispose(); |

Nothing, in the provider i'm using a call to isc_dsql_sql_info and seems that this is not working when the delete ( and probably updates and inserts ) are made inside a stored proc, i have made a test and using a sp the returned affected rows are 0 and using the DELETE command as command text are 1. -- Best regards Carlos Guzmán Álvarez Vigo-Spain |

Hi, I try use dataset with fbCommand for Delete and Update. Stored procedure is CREATE PROCEDURE SP_LSTRED_D ( RID INTEGER) AS BEGIN DELETE FROM LSTRED WHERE (RID = :RID); END Source in C# VS2003 protected FirebirdSql.Data.Firebird.FbCommand fbCMainDelete; * private void SetupDeleteComm { fbCMainDelete.Connection=FGlobalData.PrikladConnection(); FMainDataAdapter.DeleteCommand=fbCMainDelete; FMainDataAdapter.CommandText="EXECUTE PROCEDURE SP_LSTRED_D (?)"; FMainDataAdapter.DeleteCommand.Parameters.Add("RID", firebird.FbDbType.Integer,0,"RID"); } * When I fire private void sbbtnDelete_ItemClick(object sender, DevExpress.XtraBars.ItemClickEventArgs e) { FMainCurrencyManager.RemoveAt(FMainCurrencyManager.Position); cause error -> FMainDataAdapter.Update(MainDataSet,GetTblName()); } then I every times get error message " An unhandled exception of type 'System.Data.DBConcurrencyException' occurred in system.data.dll Additional information: Concurrency violation: the DeleteCommand affected 0 records." Could anybody help me please? if I fire this procedure than it works but affected rows is still 0 firebird.FbTransaction trans = FGlobalData.PrikladConnection().BeginTransaction(); fbCMainDelete.Transaction = trans; fbCMainDelete.Parameters["RID"].Value = 16; MessageBox.Show(Convert.ToString(fbCMainDelete.ExecuteNonQuery())); trans.Commit(); If I don't use transaction then it don't work too. What I do wrong. Please help me. Thank you very much. |
