This is the nunit test suite assembly, you need to use:
FirebirdSql.Data.Firebird.dll

Using provider 1.5.0, if I do the following I get an error: =20 Open connection Begin transaction Do something Commit Prepare a different command -- Close connection =20 =20 When I close the connection I get an "Active transaction" error. FbDbType.LongVarBinary does not tell anything except it is a binary form. To get the actual size of a binary, programmer still need to access the Size so FbDbType.Binary should be fine. Hello: I have implemented an XdrStream that will replace the actual GdsInetWriter/GdsInetReader classes in 1.6 sources, implementation is more clear and preformance, using the AS3AP benchmark, seems to be better. Existent NUnit test suites (for the ado.net class and the GDS implementation) runs fine with these changes. In first place i was thinking on release alpha 1 before commit these changes but as it's a cnage that can broke something ;) i'm thinking on commit these changes yet and release the 1.6 alpha 1 with them, opinions ?? -- Best regards Carlos Guzmán Álvarez Vigo-Spain |

The rather hackish idea is:
