[Firebird-docs] User Document PDF error

I downloaded the full set document from
    http://firebird.sourceforge.net/index.php?op=doc&id=userdoc

and when I open the pdf files I get the error message:
    The index associated with this document (../FT3INDEX.PDX) is not available.

Is there a fix to this?

When the full set is installed, this index file and a PDF named 
2AllBooks.pdf are installed in a "root directory", with each individual 
book in its own subdirectory underneath this root...so when you run 
2AllBooks, it uses the .pdx file to know where to locate each book.

If you downloaded the books one-by-one, you won't have this.  You should be 
able to get it by downloading and installing the whole betadocs 
kit.  Alternatively, you can just open each book yourself, as required.

I don't see any reference to 2AllBooks.pdf.  The Beta docs is a file
60all.zip and there are no .pdx files in it.  I also tried downloading
an individual file, 60GetStart.zip (Getting Started) and it too has a
problem and there is no .pdx file located in the zip file.

Well, don't worry about it.  The PDFs still work fine after you close the=
=20
error dialog.  You will probably just have to live with opening the pdf=20
files individually;  or purchase a IB 6.5 media kit from Borland for arou=
nd=20
$50.00 US.
