Which service are you using? If it's MSN I think I know the fix for=20
this. (We need to always use UTF8 rather than the system default=20
If it's another service the fix may be more complicated, but it would=20
be helpful to know in either case.

In ICQ and IRC, accented characters are not correctly displayed. I guess
that there is no conversion in incoming messages... it would be good to
let the user select the encoding for each buddy (or chat room).
